Dinhata I (community development block) (Bengali: দিনহাটা I সমষ্টি উন্নয়ন ব্লক) is an administrative division in Dinhata subdivision of Cooch Behar district in the Indian state of West Bengal. Dinhata police station serves this block. Headquarters of this block is at Dinhata. There is one census town in this block: Bhangri Pratham Khanda.[1][2]

As per 2001 census, Dinhata I block had a total population of 254,449, out of which 130,656 were males and 123,793 were females. Dinhata I block registered a population growth of 6.04 per cent during the 1991-2001 decade. Decadal growth for the district was 14.15 per cent.[2]Decadal growth in West Bengal was 17.84 per cent.[4]
Dinhata I block had a literacy rate of 64.16 per cent - males 73.27 per cent and females 54.55 per cent.[3]
